ELTON NGUYEN:

Business Cards

The client, Elton, asked that I help create a logo for him as part of the branding for his upcoming comic as well as creating a business card for him. He wanted a new branding to use in a more professional sense compared to the branding he used for conventions and his illustrations.

For the logo, the client wanted something that would represent him and his upcoming comic series, which is inspired by Kamen Rider, a long-running live-action Japanese television series with multiple instalments. The logo is based off the face of the helmet that the protagonist wears in the comic. I made 3 different variants -  coloured eyes, outlined eyes, and solid eyes - to account for any medium that the client may be placing the logo on. The solid eyes also allow for the easy colour overlays to make many more variants.

As for the business cards, I used the purple colour that Elton has requested as that is something from his previous branding that he wanted to transfer over to his new branding. Most of the design choices were left to me. I decided to have a faded version of the logo behind the texts as a reference to the title card/logo of one of the Kamen Rider instalments.
